Training at Balance Gym

What Makes Personal Training at Balance Gym Different?
Balance Gym has its origins as a personal training facility, therefore, we understand how important this service is and how many other gyms often throw it together as an afterthought aimed at gaining higher membership sales. The owners of Balance Gym, Graham King and Mark Crick, are still active personal trainers, training on average 50 clients per month. They have built the gym around being able to offer the best personal training services in DC. This includes constructing a large personal training studio full of functional and athletic training equipment; you will never wait to use equipment while training with a Balance trainer.

Our Trainers
Mark and Graham personally hire all trainers and put them through an intensive three-month academy to further develop their skills and knowledge. Our trainers have a first class education, vibrant personalities, and real world experience obtained from years of training in the gym or from the sporting field. Most importantly, we require that our trainers have the ability to “walk the talk.” One simply needs to look around the gym floor to understand why Balance Gym has a reputation for housing some of DC’s fittest trainers.

Our Methods
Time to get moving and train your body the way it was designed to move! No workout will ever be the same when working with a Balance trainer. Staying true to our vision, our training methods are both challenging and fun. Our sessions are designed to build lean muscle while shedding away the fat. How do we do this? We integrate high-intensity cardio with functional strength training. We use total body movements that are challenging and tailored for each client. Our training methods run the gamut, so it doesn't matter if you are a high school athlete or a senior wanting to move pain-free with confidence. Balance Gym has the expertise and the facility to help each individual client reach their goals, whether they are training to improve their health and develop their fitness, or want to take their performance to the next level. We offer 40 and 60 minute personal training sessions, as well as semi-private training:

Express 40 Minute Personal Training

“More Intense, Less Expense”

A Balance gym trainer will carefully guide you through what is fast becoming the secret weapon to fat loss, and creating a more athletic body.

What’s the secret?

Studies have shown that increasing the intensity of your workout using functionally diverse movements, and decreasing the length of the workout is the best way to burn stubborn fat, while still building lean muscle that improves athletic and every day performance.

The best part is that these sessions are dynamic, fun, and constantly changing. You will be back to work in no time at all, and your metabolism will be fired up for hours!
